| I find that there is majesty in rituals and celebrations when the intention is about honouring the moment: the moment of birth; the moment of marriage; the moment of death; the moment of hope when wishing anew at the start of a new year. And always, simply always, the moment when we fall in love again.

An Intentional Life
In idiomatic English we often use the expressions “taking a time out, or chilling.” So, where can we really go, without having to travel any distance from wherever we are in that moment of needed “chilling,” to find the tranquil space between thoughts?
In our everyday life, we have become masters at filling all the gaps in a day, beginning with the morning and the creation of our “to do” list, ending the day not having checked off all the assignments, our tasks seemingly always ahead of our ability to catch up…with never a moment to spare.
Designed exclusively for The Battery, this very special evening will serve as a reminder that when we breathe deeply, we discover that breath is profoundly, the true staff of life. How might we live our lives differently if we knew that through our breath we are connected to the most creative energy of our universe? In the Italian language the word intermezzo describes an interlude between movements. It is this interlude between movements in our own lives that we will explore together, on this evening.
Anya Ushakova-Crain, social change agent, visionary strategist and designer of experiences for innovative thinking, and Baba Harihar Ramji, Founder of The Sonoma Ashram and Bal Ashram in the holy city of Varanasi, India will lead the conversation.
Please note: The Battery is a private, membership-based club in San Francisco so this event is available only to members and their guests.
